The Gorillaz were one of my favorite groups growing up—and they still are. They brought such a unique energy and delightful weirdness that resonated with me during my heyday as a weirdo (and now). This piece is inspired by their Demon Days album cover, featuring the character 2-D. Tracks like “Dare,” “All Alone,” and, of course, “Feel Good Inc.” filled our home with intense energy and blared through the speakers with a fevered intensity.
